Teen Spirit - Nirvana Retro Matchbox

It's no secret that we love vintage matchbox design. It often sneaks into our inspiration boards and ideas and this week's double prints are no exception.

We love the mini artworks that are found on vintage matchboxes - they are fully formed designs that have been used and discarded throughout time without the love and admiration we feel they often deserve. So we wanted to pay homage to this wonderful medium by creating our Matchbox Art Prints to enjoy at a larger scale.

We began the designs with an element that we found consistent throughout vintage matchboxes - western design and in particular, horses. We love to add nods to our favourite things in our work also, so this week's prints are also inspired by two incredible and iconic songs. We wanted to use the lyrics of each song within the design and they are, not so subtly, used as the brand names, both of which we think are reminiscent of the time we're referencing.

So this week's double prints are a special one for us and we hope you enjoy them too.
